PBL1 Lumen Christi Catholic School is located in Mequon and Thiensville, Wisconsin. The school has two campuses, with the Thiensville campus serving the needs of our 3K- 3rd grade students and the Mequon campus serving the 4th -8th grade students.

LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
Lumen Christi Catholic School, as an integral part of our parish, educates our children as unique individuals through a strong academic program, infusing the Gospel Values, which compel us to love and serve in our Catholic tradition.
Our rigorous curriculum and high standards prepare LC students for any public or private high school, including
Homestead, Nicolet, Germantown, DSHA & Marquette. The North Shore has a variety of options for High
School, and our students enter all of these high schools with ease.
Thiensville - 3K - grade 3
3K - 3 half- days per week
4K - 5, half-days per week
5K - optional 1/2 or full day, 5 days per week
Grades 1-3 self contained. All go out of classroom for specials
Mequon - grades 4 - 8
Grades 4 -5 self contained, except social studies and religion classes which are taught by only one of the fifth grade teachers
Grade 6 - students move between the three homerooms for their classes. Each homerom teacher is responsible for two of the academic
classes.
Grades 7 - 8 Students travel between classrooms and teachers for all their academic and special classes. They begin the day in a
homeroom setting, but then are divided into groups that change for each of their classes.
CLASS SIZE POLICY 2008-2009
The average class size for students in grades 1 - 8 is between 18 and 23
FIELD TRIP Every teacher plans field trips or other classroom activities as an extension of classroom instruction.

HOMEWORK
Since homework is a necessary part of the school program, which teaches students that they have responsibilities. This sense of responsibility, as well as a spirit of industry, can be fostered through well-planned assignments, written work, memorization, and projects, which also reinforce learning that has taken place in school.
